Before I post the ad, I figured I’d give Oppo a chance to read over what I typed up and make suggestions/comments/etc, with the knowledge that I may heed or ignore it.
Craigslist ad draft:
For sale: 2009 Ford Flex SEL. This one-owner, dealer maintained Nebraska car has just under 150,000 mostly highway miles. It it is an incredibly spacious and safe family hauler while still being more unique than the same old minivan. The lego brick shape of the Flex means that interior room is massive. The third row in this is bigger than the second row in some SUVs, plenty big enough for adults. Even with all six seats up, there is plenty of luggage room, but both rear rows fold completely flat for hauling. This car is in excellent mechanical shape, but keep in mind that this vehicle has 150k, so the body shows minimal cosmetic imperfections. In additions to your usual power features (locks, windows, seats, etc.) features include:
Automatic HID headlights and LED taillights
Tinted privacy glass
Two-tone paint: Brown metallic w/ white roof
Bluetooth SYNC capability
Sirius satellite radio w/ steering wheel controls
2nd and 3rd row captain’s chairs
Built-in rear DVD player w/ wireless headphones and remote
Tri-zone climate control
USB port and home outlet
Adaptive color interior lighting
Tan leather interior
Heated front seats and mirrors
Keyless entry
Homelink garage opener
Tire pressure monitoring system
Adjustable pedals
Cruise control w/steering wheel controls
Rear back-up parking sensors
12-speaker Sony premium stereo
Power rear tailgate
3 row panoramic sunroof
Trailer hitch receiver
With a large number of airbags, ABS, traction and stability control, and seatbelt pre-tensioners, it’s no wonder the Flex was an IIHS Top Safety Pick. This, combined with large interior volume, good fuel economy, and a comfortable ride make this 2009 Ford Flex an ideal family car. The 3.5 V6 and 6 speed automatic make driving the Flex a breeze, as does the large greenhouse. Call or email for more information, and feel free to schedule an appointment to see and drive this excellent vehicle. Asking $xx,xxx or best offer.

As far as the write up goes, it seems pretty good.
But please, choose a different thumbnail. The shady background would not make me feel the *best* about looking further into it.
Keep me posted how it goes! My family should be going through a similar process with our Odyssey over the summer.

Actually I did think about it. I may just put that it will fit a full sized mattress but leave out the other bit.

It’s not shady, it’s artsy.
Probably a good idea.

Damn I’m all out of $X bills.
I would just shorten it a little. The general population seems to be stupid and in a hurry.

Alright, six bucks and a voucher for a free Happy Meal.

Artsy probably isn't the way to go for a listing. Clean, focused, well-lit shots that let people see details are your best bet.

Just from my experience of selling cars and atvs.
I wrote paragraphs before and received very little attention. It was always the ad with just basic essential info and a few pics that got bites.
I always told people to call me. That weeds out about 50% of the time wasters.

Sold to the gentleman in the third row with the funny hat.

Yup, got rid of that photo, this new one is also just a place holder. I’ll take some tomorrow to use in the ad.

If the timing was different I’d ask about your price, but we’re not quite ready to buy yet.

Will you trade for a broken ham radio?
Seriously though, good luck with the sale. So you like the Flex? My lady has basically decided to get one after some other things in life settle down a bit. Looks like it’ll do it all - kid hauling, haul us and all our gear to SCA events (Pennsic war wagon), and one day tow our future rally car.

How has it been for you? My partner loves these for some reason.

I’d get the Ecoboost version if I were going to tow with it, but other than that, it’s been great. There have been a few minor quality issues (chrome on grill got wrinkled as you can see, power mirror switch popped off), but nothing horrible or out of the ordinary for a car with that many miles.

It’s treated us very well. Massive amounts of interior room, comfortable, and a generally sensible vehicle for hauling a lot of people/hear in something vaguely resembling style.

Huh, that seems to lack inspiration...

It’s a Ford Taurus in a box.
